Why Do You Need My Electrical History?

Many customers ask me why we need their electrical history:

I tell the people I speak to that we like to give each customer an accurate quote on a solar array that will meet their electrical demand throughout the year.

At The Solar Company, we go the extra mile by connecting you on a brief three way call with your utility company and get detailed information about your electrical history that gives us an accurate picture of how much electricity you use over the course of a year.

We simply push a button and you are quickly conferenced on a call with your utility company.  They will ask a couple of simple questions to confirm this is your account and then give us a brief overview of your data.

If a conference call to your utility is not convenient, you may choose to fax or email your usage history.  We can send you the data we need in a brief email, and you can fax or email your information, including your kilowatt hours and bill amounts along with a few other items found on your bill.  You may choose to access the information yourself via a telephone call to your utility, or by going online to their website and following their instructions for access.

Next we set up a convenient appointment to have one of our Solar Consultants review your usage history, visit your home, look at your service panel, and give you a precise quote for lease or purchase of solar.  This is called a Free Energy Analysis.

Now you will know exactly how much solar will cost and how much  money you can save by going green with solar.

We don’t just want to give you an arbitrary quote and slap a generic system on your roof. We find out exactly how many solar panels you’ll need so you can rest assured that your home will be properly supplied with electricity throughout the year!
