New, Solar-Powered Practice Facility will save more than $2,000,000 in electricity costs over 25 years

JANUARY 21 (Oakland, CA): A ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil the new solar installation at the Golden State Warriors practice facility in downtown Oakland, California, will be on Thursday, January 21 at 10:00 a.m. Warrior’s President Robert Rowell and rookie guard Stephen Curry will be joined by Mark Danenhower, President of the Solar Company, at the unveiling of the new solar system.

About the Solar–Powered Warriors Practice Facility

The 537 SunPower SPR-305-WHT-U Modules installed by The Solar Company (based in Castro Valley, CA) will generate an estimated daily production of 758.9 kWh of electricity for the practice facility.

The system will enable the basketball team to save an estimated $36,000 on their electric bill in the first year of operation – and more than two million dollars over 25 years.
