Can you believe that it’s already been 3 years since the Golden State Warriors made the precedent-setting decision to go solar?
The Bay Area team has long been a proud supporter of the environment and was excited to be able to take advantage of renewable energy to power their Oakland practice facility.
As the very first NBA team to go solar, the Warriors continue to promote a greener way of life by encouraging fans to utilize public transportation to and from games.
Over the past 3 years, the Warriors’ electric savings have really been adding up. They’ve saved over $110,000.00 in costs!
The Solar Company owners, Mark & Christina Danenhower, were honored, along with their children, during half-time at a recent game (video below). The Danenhowers were presented with a commemorative jersey that is now displayed at our Castro Valley office.
